Feminism

Our readings talk about different variables of feminism.
Shakey Ground talks about a different view of the movement and goes into detail about all the different parts of it.
The weekly readings cover similar things. They talk about how the view of women and what they can do has progressed over time. Like the magazine getting advertisements from male-directed companies. The reading of the problem that has no name showed how women were expected to take care of the family and house. However, they longed to have something more in their life.

I enjoyed these readings more than the rest of the semester. It is nice to study a different movement other than just African American.

  1. I agree. Women were made to be housewives since they were little girls. It was made to seem like their main goals in life were to find a husband and to raise their children in a good suburban neighborhood.
